MEET OUR PASTOR

"Those who look to Him are radiant with joy, their faces will never be ashamed." Ps 34:5 ESV

Rev. Pierre Yvon Delinois

Pastor Pierre Y. Delinois was born in Cayes, Haiti. He accepted Christ as his personal Savoir in 1967. He moved to South Florida from Brooklyn, New York in 1976 and has been working in the Haitian Community in evangelism, church planting and pastoring.

For several years following his conversion, Pastor Delinois travelled extensively to Haiti for mission work in the far reaches of rural areas. He helped plant churches in these small rural towns and assisted with their growth and discipleship.

Pastor Delinois and His wife, Sister Delinois moved to South Florida from Brooklyn, New York in 1976 and began evangelizing the growing community of Haitian immigrants of the 1970’s.  Pastor Delinois was used by God to help pioneer evangelism and the planting of churches in Pompano Beach, Ft Lauderdale and Delray Beach. He helped establish a variety of ministerial work and social assistance to the Haitian residents living in those communities.

In 1979, Reverend Delinois felt the call from God to enter into full time ministry.

He attended and graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and became an ordained minister in October, 1980.

In 1981 Pastor Delinois, along with his wife Sister Delinois founded the Haitian Evangelical Baptist Church of Pompano Beach (HEBC) which quickly grew in membership. About two decades later, through its many challenges and God given victories, the church completed construction of its 800-seat sanctuary and a second educational building.

Pastor Delinois remains senior pastor and is a gifted preacher with a unique ability to deliver the Word of God with power, clarity and passion. He is also a talented musician and choir director.

Pastor Delinois repeatedly affirms to the congregation that he is only the ‘sous-Shepherd’ and that he looks to Christ, the true Shepherd of this flock, to provide vision and leadership direction to the ministry.

Pastor Delinois and is wife Sister Delinois, were blessed with four children, Nathan, Tania, Sabine and Pierre Jr, daughter-in-law Stefanie, son-in-law Vicly and six beautiful grandchildren Baylen, Amelie, Blake, Noelle, Braxton and Leonie.

Pastor Delinois enjoys gardening and planting fruits trees, specifically mango trees. Through his love of gardening he has planted 18 mango trees on the church grounds for the enjoyment of current and future generations of church members.
